Maximilian Jell (40) heads the newly created Regulatory Affairs & Reduced Risk Products division at Philip Morris GmbH since November 2016. In this function he is responsible for all questions relating to the product regulation of conventional tobacco products as well as for regulatory questions relating to the approval and evaluation of innovative, risk-reduced products.

Max studied International Relations in Munich, Tübingen and Chapel Hill, USA. He started his career with Philip Morris in 2007 in the press and public relations department. He took on various functions in communications, stakeholder engagement and sales at Philip Morris in Germany. In 2015 and 2016 he worked for Philip Morris International in Brussels and was responsible for relations with the European Commission, the European Parliament and subordinate European regulatory authorities. Max is married and has one son.
