Since joining LafargeHolcim as CEO in 2017, Jan Jenisch has been leading a new era of transformational growth, establishing the company as the world’s global leader in building solutions.

With revenues of CHF 26.7B in 2019 and a footprint spanning 75 countries with 72’000 people, LafargeHolcim operates the largest Research & Development organization in its industry, with over 50% of its resources dedicated to green construction and over 40% of its patents in this area.

At the forefront of green construction, under Jan’s leadership, LafargeHolcim is committed to becoming a net zero company, working in partnership with the Science-Based Targets initiative. It also ranks number one in the construction sector in Sustainalytics ESG ranking.

Putting innovation and digitalization at the core of the Company’s strategy, Jan is leading a new generation of green solutions to enable carbon neutral and circular building, such as EcoPACT green concrete or Susteno circular cement.

Jan is a Member of the Executive Committee of The World Business Council for Sustainable Development as well as of the Global Cement and Concrete Association. He is also a Member of the Board of the LafargeHolcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction. In addition he serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at Glas Troesch SA.
Previously Jan was the CEO of Swiss-based Sika (2012-2017), a specialty chemicals company with a leading position in the building sector and motor vehicle industry.
