Wojciech specializes in energy law, with a particular focus on conventional electrical power engineering, the gas industry, liquid fuels, the heating industry and renewable energy sources. He advises on regulatory issues related to, among others, concession and tariff decisions, instructions for operation and maintenance of transmission and distribution networks. Wojciech also provides advice in the field of European law, especially competition law, including state aid and sectoral regulation. He advises on investment projects, investment financing (EU funds) and mergers and acquisitions of undertakings operating on regulated markets. He is involved in proceedings before the European Commission concerning the notification of state aid projects, including projects partly financed with EU funds. Wojciech has on many occasions represented the Polish Government before the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg and the European Commission in cases concerning Poland’s breach of its obligations under EU law. Prior to joining K&P, Wojciech worked for the European Court of Justice, the European Parliament and Polish government institutions. He also advised Polish energy companies - PGE EJ1 (GK PGE) and PSE S.A. – on energy sector regulation, EU law and state aid (contracts for difference, the capacity market). Wojciech is an academic lecturer, has authored articles on EU law and energy law and co-authored a commentary on the Treaty Establishing the European Community.
