Alan has been tracking and predicting trends for intelligence, forecasting and strategic for three decades, while consulting for Deloitte and McKinsey, working at senior strategy levels in Telecoms, Internet and Marketing businesses, and for Broadsight, the boutique technology consultancy he co-founded in 2016. In 2017 the Broadsight team set up DataSwarm, to deliver using advanced data analytic driven trend tracking and prediction across many sectors, from marketing to stock price tracking. In 2019 DataSwarm entered the IARPA Geopolitical Forecasting Challenge, and (as of July 2019) were winners in Round 1. Alan has BSc and MSc degrees in Engineering.
